What methods of reproductive medicine do we use?

The main direction of the clinic’s work is the use of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) for the treatment of infertility. We are among the first to implement progressive scientific achievements that increase the chances of successful fertilization and pregnancy development.

The Center for Reproductive Medicine in Kyiv offers patients the following methods:

  • In vitro fertilization (IVF) is the main method of treating various types of female and male infertility. Fertilization takes place under special embryological conditions, after which the embryo is transferred to the uterine cavity.
  • Intracytoplasmic injection (ICSI) is the artificial introduction of a sperm into an egg, used as an auxiliary method in the IVF protocol in the presence of a male infertility factor, which significantly increases the effectiveness of the infertility treatment program.
  • Testicular sperm aspiration (TESA) – obtaining male germ cells from the testicle, which is prescribed in case of obstruction of the vas deferens, and the absence of sperm in the ejaculate.

  • Cryopreservation (vitrification) – freezing of germ cells and embryos for use in future in vitro fertilization protocols. This method allows the safe preservation of the ability to give birth to healthy children at a later reproductive age in the absence of an opportunity to plan pregnancy for now.
  • Donation of reproductive cells in the IVF clinic can be performed with donor eggs and sperm if it is not possible to obtain the patient’s germ cells.
  • Surrogate motherhood – in the case of absolute infertility or if the patient has contraindications to carrying a pregnancy, a child can be carried and born by a surrogate mother.

Our medical center also offers operative gynecology services – surgical treatment for diseases of the female reproductive system, and expert urology – treatment of diseases of the male genitourinary system. For the prevention of fertility disorders, the clinic has developed routine health check-up programs.

How the treatment proceeds: the main stages

Consultation of a reproductive doctor.

During the first visit, you get to know the doctor, discuss the reason for the visit and your plans for parenthood, and discuss clarifying questions about your health, and history of previous pregnancies and deliveries. Married couples should come to the consultation together so the specialist can get all the necessary information.

Examination.

After the consultation, the reproductive specialist prescribes a list of diagnostic methods that will help determine the causes of reduced fertility. In the Center of Reproductive Medicine Reprolife, you can do all the necessary research on modern equipment.

Development of a treatment plan.

According to the results of the examination, the reproductive specialist offers optimal options for the treatment of infertility. The doctor explains in detail the features of various methods, their advantages, and predicted results so that you can make an informed decision.

Treatment of infertility.

Further actions depend on the specific clinical situation. Doctors accompany the couple at all stages of treatment, and after success, they offer a comprehensive pregnancy management program to monitor the development of the baby and monitor the health of the future mother before delivery.
